Fuente Álamo is a municipality that has an important livestock activity, especially with regard to the production of pigs and sheep. There is also a significant presence of cattle and goat farms. It belongs to an area declared Vulnerable by the European Union, where the management of waste from the livestock industry is a problem due to its volume and the consequent deterioration of the environment.
